On Tuesday 8 December we will be celebrating Plain English Day with our 30th Annual Awards. This year, to commemorate our anniversary, we will be shredding documents alongside MPs, local councillors and others – mirroring what Chrissie did in front of Parliament 30 years ago.
At the ceremony we will announce who has won awards for the best and worst examples of written communications. Plus we will reveal the winner of our famous ‘Foot in Mouth’ award for a baffling comment from a well-known person.
The 30th Plain English Campaign Annual Awards 2009 will be held at The Brewery, London EC1Y 4SD on Tuesday 8 December from 12 noon. Lenny Henry, the well-known comedian, actor and entertainer will be presenting the awards.
