Exhibition and short course in the use of plain English for school leavers and young adults

Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 October 2008

As part of the 2008 Liverpool City of Culture celebrations, the Lord Mayor, Steve Rotherham, was our guest of honour at a reception to launch the exhibition and free training sessions at Liverpool Town Hall.

The exhibition showed the early development of the campaign and its current work in promoting crystal-clear communications. The free training sessions provided school leavers and young adults living in Liverpool with an introduction to using plain English in their daily lives.

The courses were available in a morning or an afternoon session, and with a minimum of 10 people at each session. The courses were completely free, but available on a first-come, first-served basis.
