We offer a range of training courses to teach you how to write in plain English. We run these courses either in-house or as open courses at several locations in the UK. Please use the links below to find out more details about each course.

• Advanced Grammar course
  This course, which we run occasionally, offers a detailed training in English grammar. The aim of the course is to give you a sound working knowledge of grammar, with the emphasis on clear and concise writing using plain-English principles.
  
• Grammarcheck course
  This course teaches the basics of grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence construction and other related areas. This course is also available on-line. Please visit www.plainenglishtraining.com if you are interested in taking this course over the internet.
  
• Plain English course
  This course will help you to learn how to write in plain English. It is also available on-line. Please visit www.plainenglishtraining.com if you are interested in taking this course on-line.
  
• Plain English and forms design
  This course combines the principles of plain English with those of good design for forms. Delegates will have the chance to design a form from scratch, using the principles taught during the course.
  
• Plain English and report writing
  This course focuses specifically on writing reports. You will learn how to write, edit and structure reports to make them easier to understand. The course also runs through the basic principles of plain English.
  
• Writing for websites in plain English
  This course focuses on writing and designing websites using plain-English principles. The course looks at design as well as content. It also discusses the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and guidelines on web accessibility.
  
• Writing medical information in plain English
  This course looks at NHS Trust letters and leaflets as well as information and labelling on medicines people can buy without a prescription.
